SUPERIOR COURT JUN 28 2021 rt I q < SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF KERN ORDER RESTRICTING ACCESS TO _| MISCELLANEOUS NO.: Sib. 2-¢ PROTECT CONFIDENTIAL CRIMINAL INFORMATION WHEREAS the Kern County Superior Court must comply with FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Security Policy and all California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS) operating policies, practices and procedures, THE COURT HEREBY FINDS AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS: In the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Security Policy, criminal justice information or criminal history record information (CHRI) is defined as any notation or other written or electronic evidence of an arrest, detention, complaint, indictment, information or other formal criminal charge relating to an identifiable person that includes identifying information regarding the individual as well as the disposition of any charges. Any area of the courthouse in which such information is generated or stored will be restricted to personnel who are authorized to work with such information. 1 A Court escort is required to accompany any non-CLETS certified personnel

2 before they will be permitted access to any areas in the Court facilities, in which such

3 criminal justice information is generated or stored.

4 Improper access to such restricted areas is serious and may result in

5 administrative sanctions including, but not limited to, termination of services and State 6 and Federal criminal penalties. 7

8 THIS ORDER IS EFFECTIVE JUNE 28, 2021.
