For the duration of the Court closure to the public, and until futher order of the
Court, and to clarify the Court's previous orders, I find good cause to amend my April 15, 2020, Implementation Order as follows: In addition to those matters in which the final day for preliminary hearing pursuant to Penal Code section 859b would fall between the dates indicated in any prior Implementation Order signed by me, and as to all other matters on calendar during the Court closure period in which a preliminary hearing must be set, any judicial officer of the Court may extend the time period provided in section 859b of the Penal Code for the holding of a preliminary examination from 10 court days to not more than 30 court days. Nothing in this order modifies the 60 calendar-day limitation set forth in Penal Code section 859b.
