General Order No.: 15-01 SUPERIOR COURT OF CALIFORNIA COUNTY OF CALAVERAS ORDER APPOINTING THE HONORABLE GRANT V. BARRETT TO SUPERVISE THE GRAND JURY WHEREAS, Rule 10.603 of the California Rules of Court provides the presiding judge is responsible for allocating resources in a manner that promotes access to justice for all members of the public, provides a forum for the fair and expeditious resolution of disputes, maximizes the use of judicial and other resources, increases efficiency in court operations, and enhances services to the public; IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Hon. Grant V. Barrett is appointed to supervise all activities of the grand jury including but not limited to the impanelment of the regular and additional grand juries; employment of special counsel pursuant to Penal Code §936.5; receipt and review of the final report; and receipt and review of the response comments submitted pursuant to Penal Code §933(b).
