Section 26746 of the Government Code provides for a $15.00 assessment to be collected from the Judgment Debtor on each disbursemnet of money paid to the Judgment Creditor. The assessment fee applies to money collected under a Writ of Attachment, Execution, Possession, or Sale.

The Sheriff is entitled to the/her fee for service whether or not the service is successful; Gov. Code 26736 & 26738.

The Sheriff's office MUST receive your documents for service and service fee at least 10 days prior to the last day for service.

The Plumas County Sheriff's Office accepts the following forms of payment for service fees: -EXACT cash -Personal, Business, Certified or Cashier's Checks -Debit/Credit Cards -Money Orders -Court Granted Fee Waiver
