9 IT IS ORDERED that Scott Yach, the duly appointed Clerk of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court
10 for the Eastern District of California, and his deputies are authorized to set for hearing all
11 Applications for Payment of Unclaimed Funds requesting payment of more than $1,500.00. The
12 Clerk may also set any Application for Unclaimed Funds for hearing if the Clerk’s Office cannot
13 determine whether the applicant is the rightful owner of the funds.
14 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that General Order 24-01, which authorized the previous
15 Clerk of Court to set Applications for Unclaimed Funds for hearing, is hereby abrogated.
16 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that if the case is closed, it does not need to be reopened
17 for the purposes of holding a hearing on an Application for Payment of Unclaimed Funds.
18 Closed cases may be reassigned by the clerk’s office to active judges, if necessary.
