pursuant to 11 U.S.C. Section 362(b)(9)(B) and therefore does not violate the automatic stay under 11
U.S.C. Section 362(a). Continue making payments to an appointed bankruptcy trustee pursuant to a court
order. My office will continue to send notices to the property owner, and all processes will continue up to the
last business day of redemption prior to a scheduled sale. We will remove any property that is part of an

Your right of redemption will end at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Friday, February 19, 2021, which is the last business day before we sell your property at the 2020A Public Auction on Saturday, February 20, 2021, through Tuesday, February 23, 2021. This means you will no longer have the right to pay your delinquent secured property taxes and stop the sale of your property.
If we do not receive the total amount due in the office of the Treasurer and Tax Collector (TTC) by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Friday, February 19, 2021, we will sell your property. If the TTC does not sell your property at the auction, the right of redemption will revive. We will add a fee of $269.00 to the amount due for any property that requires a personal visit by a Tax Collector Representative.
Note, pursuant to the California Revenue and Taxation Code (R&TC) Section 3698.5(d), the current owner of tax-defaulted property subject to sale under this chapter shall not purchase that property, directly or indirectly, at a price below the minimum price determined pursuant to subdivision (a), which indicates the amount not less than the total amount necessary to redeem, plus costs and the outstanding balance of any property tax postponement loan.
RIGHTS OF PARTIES OF INTEREST AFTER SALE If the TTC sold your property at auction, you have the right to claim proceeds remaining after the TTC satisfied the tax and assessment liens and costs of sale. Pursuant to State law, the TTC will notify you regarding excess proceeds. You must be a "Party of Interest" as defined by R&TC Section 4675 to claim excess proceeds. You must file your claim for excess proceeds within ONE YEAR after the TTC records the deed to the purchaser.
State law allows you to designate an agent who may require a fee to file a claim on your behalf. However, you can file a claim directly with the TTC's office where no fee is required.
