Blue Lake Municipal Code Ch. 2.08 Compensation for City Council and Mayor

The ordinance codified in this chapter is adopted pursuant to California Government Code Section 36516.

Each Councilmember, including the Mayor, shall receive compensation at the rate of $50.00 per month for attending the following meetings:

A. All regular, special, or emergency City Council meetings.

B. All official public meetings of commissions or committees of the City and formed by action of the City Council to which the Councilmember has been assigned to be a member by action of the City Council.

C. All official meetings of commissions, committees, districts, and joint power agencies at which the City is represented by an elected official and to which the Councilmember has been assigned to be the City's representative by action of the City Council.

A Councilmember may waive all or part of the compensation provided for by this chapter in accordance with the City's duly adopted Financial Management Policy Manual.

Each Councilmember shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of official duties in accordance with Government Code Section 36514.5 and the City's duly adopted Financial Management Policy Manual.
