§ 11.05.010. California Building Code, 2022 Edition, adopted.

The 2022 California Building Code, with appendices thereto, and all subsequent editions thereto, published by the International Code Council, is adopted, incorporated and made a part of this code by reference without further publication as though fully set forth in this chapter and is declared to be the building code of the city; and the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the city limits.

§ 11.05.020. California Mechanical Code adopted.

The California Mechanical Code, 2022 Edition, with appendices thereto, and all subsequent editions thereto, published by the International Code Council and the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, is adopted, incorporated, and made a part of this code by reference without further publication as though fully set forth in this chapter and is declared to be the mechanical code of the city; and the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the city limits.

§ 11.05.030. California Plumbing Code adopted.

The California Plumbing Code, 2022 Edition, with appendices thereto, and all subsequent editions thereto, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, is adopted, incorporated, and made a part of this code by reference without further publication as though fully set forth in this chapter and is declared to be the plumbing code of the city; and the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the city limits.

§ 11.05.040. Plumbing code – Amendments.

The Uniform Plumbing Code is amended as follows:

(1) Section 20.1 – Administrative Authority and Assistants. Whenever the term "administrative authority" is used in this code, it shall be construed to mean the manager of building inspection of the county of Butte or his authorized representative.

(2) Permit Issuance and Limitations. No permits shall be required for any buildings exempted by Section 302(b) of the Uniform Building Code as amended as follows:

Every plumbing permit issued under this Code shall expire and become null and void after one (1) year from the date of issuance of said permit; provided, however, said plumbing permit will remain active as long as the building permit to which it relates is active.

(3) Cost of Permit and Transfers of Permits.

(a) Permit fees shall be as specified in an ordinance or resolution adopted by the Butte County board of supervisors and the city council of the city of Biggs.

(b) A plumbing permit may be transferred from the original permittee to another person due to a change in ownership or contractor upon payment of the required transfer fee.

§ 11.05.050. California Electrical Code adopted.

The California Electrical Code, 2022 Edition, and all subsequent editions thereto, published by the International Code Council, is adopted, incorporated, and made a part of this code by reference without further publication as though fully set forth in this chapter and is declared to be the electrical code for the city; and the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the city limits.

§ 11.05.060. Electrical code – Amendments.

The Uniform Administrative Code for the 1990 National Electric Code, adopted by BMC § 11.05.050, is amended as follows:

(1) Sections 203 and 204 are hereby deleted.

(2) Section 301(b) is hereby amended by the insertion of the following paragraph after subsection 14:

15. No permits shall be required for any buildings exempted by Section 301(b) of the 1988 Uniform Building Code.

(3) Section 303(d) is hereby amended to read as follows:

An electric permit may be transferred from the original permittee to another person due to a change in ownership or contractor.

(4) Section 304 is amended to read as follows:

Permit fees, filing fees, reinspection fees and refunds shall be specified by the Butte County Board of Supervisors.
