8.88.010 - Findings of fact.¶
The city council finds that there is a hazard to the health and safety of the inhabitants of this city from the contamination of water and organic food and materials, all of which may be caused by an improper handling by unauthorized person of chemical pesticides, unless such pesticides are stored and maintained inside a building or enclosed yard; and that the open, unguarded storage of a chemical pesticide is a public nuisance.

8.88.020 - Definitions.¶
Any word or phrase hereinafter used and not herein defined shall be given the meaning established for such word or phrase by the California Agricultural Code as it now is or may hereafter be amended. Whenever in this chapter the term "commissioner" is used, it means the city agricultural commissioner and regularly appointed employees of the city department of agriculture acting pursuant to his instructions.

8.88.030 - Keeping and storage—When deemed a nuisance—Abatement.¶
It shall be a public nuisance for any party to keep, store or maintain any chemical pesticide, other than,
an amount for use at one household, on residential property; or
any amount in an enclosed building, the entry to which is secured; or
any amount in a fenced or walled enclosure, the entry to which is secured; or
an amount for use for one pest-control operation on a ranch or farm within a ten-day period. The keeping, storing or maintaining of any chemical pesticide in an unenclosed area is a violation this code, and may be abated as a public nuisance as provided in Chapter 8.80 of this code.

8.88.040 - Enforcement of health department.¶
All provisions of this chapter shall be enforced by the health department unless otherwise provided.
