13.12.010 Person defined.

The word "person" as used herein includes any corporation, association, society, club, copartnership or individual. (Ord. 1873-NS § 1, 1934)

13.12.020 Unlawful acts designated.

It is unlawful for any person to solicit employment for themselves or for any other person, either directly or through some other person acting on their behalf to prosecute, collect, settle, compromise or to negotiate for the settlement, compromise or collection of any tort claim, on behalf of any tort claimant, in which they themselves have no pecuniary interest arising from such tort. (Ord. 1873-NS § 2, 1934)

13.12.030 Exemptions from applicability.

The provisions of this chapter shall not be construed to prevent joint tort claimants from negotiating with each other for the purpose of combining respective claims or actions against the tort feasor. (Ord. 1873-NS § 3, 1934)

13.12.040 Violation--Penalty.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable set forth in Chapter 1.20 of this code. (Ord. 1873-NS § 4, 1934)
