§ 5.64.010. Definitions.¶
The words and phrases set forth below, shall be defined, for the purpose of this chapter, as follows:
"Entertainment"
means any act, play, review, pantomime, scene, song, dance act, song and dance act, fashion or style show, poetry recitation, or similar activity conducted or participated in by any professional entertainer in any building to which the public is admitted whether or not an admission charge is made.
"Owner"
means the person who owns or operates a business where entertainment is provided or offered.
"Professional entertainer"
means a person who engages, full-time or part-time, for compensation as an occupation, in the presentation of entertainment.

§ 5.64.020. Operating requirements.¶
The owner of any business which provides entertainment shall comply with the following regulations:
A. Hours of Operation. No entertainment may be conducted or provided in any place of business except between the hours of eight a.m. and ten p.m. of any day.
B. Visibility from Exterior. There shall be no entertainment permitted which is visible at any time from the exterior of the building in which such entertainment is conducted.
C. Lighting. Every place where entertainment is provided shall be lighted throughout to an intensity of not less than three footcandles during all hours of operation except while a floor show is in progress.
D. Entertainment, Place of. All entertainment shall be conducted upon a stage or platform which shall be raised at least 18 inches above the adjacent floor.
E. Intoxicated Persons. No person who is intoxicated or under the influence of any controlled substance shall:
Appear or participate as a professional entertainer, in entertainment; and
Be in a place where entertainment is provided or offered as a spectator.
