SEC. 29.02. AUTO WRECKERS – NOTIFICATION REQUIRED.

Any Automobile Wrecker licensed by the State of California who obtains actual possession as a transferee of a vehicle which is subject to registration under the California Vehicle Code for the purpose of wrecking or dismantling the vehicle shall forward, within 24 hours, notification of acquiring such vehicle to the Records and Identification Division of the Los Angeles Police Department on a form specified by the Los Angeles Police Department.
